2024 Bel Acres Wednesday Nite Men’s League

The Bel Acres Men’s League is an 18-hole league with all prizing being paid out in cash. You can enter as your own foursome or twosome (they’d be paired up) to play together each week. Tee times will be available to book one week in advance, starting at 4pm. Food and beverage specials will be offered on the course and after your round in the clubhouse. 

Time:

• Wednesday nights – May 15^th is opening night, with the final night slated for August 23^rd
• Single Tee Start – Tee times must be booked. League times will be available to book starting at 4pm. Book early to get the best choice of times.
• Dates and times may be subject to change if there is a tournament conflict.
• The final night of league play will be a 9-hole shotgun windup at 6:15pm, with prizing and a late-night putt off for cash. 

Format:

• This an 18-hole, two-man team event.
• Since competitions are per week, team players can change every week if you like.
• Teams must be declared prior to tee off.
• You may play as the same twosome (they'd be paired up) or foursome each week.
• Golfers will require a certified Golf Canada handicap. If you don’t have one, or haven’t regularly put scores in for a while, then the first 3 weeks of play will operate on a blind handicap system for these golfers (we pick 6 holes and your cumulative team gross score gets tripled to note your handicap for that week; ie: you play holes 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 and 16 in 6-over par, then your 18-hole handicap is 18). In week 4 and onwards, the average of your individual gross score will be used to determine your handicap in men’s league if you don’t have one.
• The lowest net score made by your team on a given hole is used for your team score. Cash will be awarded to the team with the lowest net score for each of the two divisions. Teams will be split into two divisions based on scores. (For example: 30 teams would see cash awarded to 1st and 16th).
• Cash will also be awarded to the team with lowest overall gross score.
• A team cannot score higher than a gross double bogey.
• Enter gross scores only on your card or on the Bel Acres app.
• Cash will be paid out each week on 4 closest to the pins.
• Optional $10 cash gross skins game weekly.
• All money will be awarded each week, or the following week of league play.
• All players will play from the blue tees.
• Please hand in score cards to the pro shop immediately after finishing your round. Or use the Bel Acres Golf app to input your scores.
• Golf Canada rules apply.

Cost: Members — you may enter play each week by calling the proshop to register your twosome or foursome.

• Bel Acres members' mandatory fee is $10 for the cash games, plus the twilight riding fee of $13.50 per person for your respective seat on a cart if you are not using a cart package for your seat.
• $4 of the $10 will go towards the team game ($2 for low net in the higher division, $1 for low net in the lower division, and $1 for low gross).
• $4 of the $10 will go towards the 4 Closest to the Pins each week.
• $2 of the $10 will go toward prizing for the men's night finale.
• All league members will have the option of entering the $10 gross skins game. Skins are paid out to the individual.
• The cash game and skins must be paid in cash each week. Please bring cash weekly.

Cost: Non-Members — Enter Online or send in the application form.

• Non-Bel Acres member fee is $742.50 for the 15 weeks. This rate includes 18 holes of golf and shared golf car. These games will be attached to your profile and deducted as used.
• Non-Bel Acres members are also required to pay the weekly mandatory $10 fee for the cash game.
• Walk-on players will pay the regular Twilight fee of $59.50 + the mandatory $10 fee for the cash game.
• $4 of the $10 will go towards the team game ($2 for low net in the higher division, $1 for low net in the lower division, and $1 for low gross).
• $4 of the $10 will go towards the 4 Closest to the Pins each week.
• $2 of the $10 will go toward prizing for the men's night finale.

ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE CASH GAME OR SKINS GAME, SO BE SURE TO HAVE CASH WITH YOU AT CHECK IN. THERE IS AN ATM ON SITE.

Food and Beverage:

Each week will feature an after-golf food and beverage special in the clubhouse, plus an on-course beverage special.

Weather and Conditions:

• Rain or shine, if the course is open, we will play.
• Everyone must play at least 9 holes to qualify for the cash game. If groups do not finish because of darkness or weather (after 9 holes) they will be given par on the remaining holes.
• Prepaid games missed may be used after August 25^th during twilight hours on any day of the week until the end of the season.
